Launched in January 2023, Serenity House Ghana (SHG) is an events/meeting space, bed and breakfast, and co-working cafe in Accra’s bustling Airport Residential area. We have rented private offices as welll! SHG hosts community-building activities and events, serves as a welcoming gateway to Ghana for women and their families, and partners with people committed to improving the lives of all who call Ghana their home.
Meet Our Founder & Executive Director
Chaz Kyser
Chaz Kyser is the founder and executive director of Serenity House Ghana. Chaz’s professional experience includes serving as a workshop facilitator and speaker in the areas of business communications, career development, and women’s empowerment. She has also worked in the international development space as the Communications Manager for two USAID projects in West Africa, and as the Deputy Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kingston. She holds a master’s degree in publishing and bachelor’s degrees in journalism and sociology.
Chaz first made Ghana her home in 2016, when she arrived as part of the U.S. Embassy community. She has since built a life here with her daughter, mother, sister, brother-in-law and niece and nephew.
As part of a Texas-based family that has relocated to Ghana, she is committed to helping African Americans see the country and continent itself as a viable place to live. She is equally focused on creating opportunities for others to leverage their passion, knowledge, and skills to be positive changemakers in Ghana.
